I got to speak at Wordcamp San Antonio!

I had the privilege to speak this past weekend at Wordcamp San Antonio. It was such a great event with so many different types of people attending including website designers, website developers, bloggers, marketing professionals, hosting companies and many more.

I got to spend time with some of the core contributors to wordpress as well as some of the primary players in the WordPress space like wp-engine and Wp Fix It.

The topic of my presentation was "how to grow your business from a freelancer to an agency". As you may know I have been at this for about 10 years and have learned a lot of lessons the hard way. I just wanted to share my knowledge on topics like setting up your business properly, cash flow, pricing and marketing. My hope was that I could help some of the young entrepreneurs not make the same mistakes I did.

I don't speak in front of crowds to often but I feel like the presentation was a success. I answered questions afterwards for about 45 minutes and got to talk with some entrepreneurs going through the same hard times I had.
