Service Description

Third Coast Clay invites adults to enroll in our 8-week pottery lessons regardless if you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced potter. We have wheel throwing and hand-building. Our knowledgeable and welcoming teachers are artists and want you to breathe, relax, and enjoy the laid-back studio environment. Come to unplug from screens, be in the moment, and experience the clay. Our mixed skill level 8 week courses are 2.5 hours long on the same day each week for 8 consecutive weeks. This class covers wedging, centering, throwing, trimming, handles, surface techniques, basic hand building if requested, and glazing. Our teachers curate the course to each student’s interest and skill level. All instruction, materials (clay & glaze), & firings are included in the cost. (Pieces from your session, will be ready to be picked up 3-4 weeks later, after they are fired twice in the kiln.) What do you need? - Change into some comfy clothes. - Tie up your long hair. - Bring an apron or a towel. - Bring a basic tool kit or purchase one when you register. and be ready to play!
